Biography
Arok India is an Alternative Rock band from Kolkata, India, active since 2011.
Known for blending alternative rock with Indian musical influences, the band has built a distinct identity through powerful live performances, original compositions, and emotionally driven storytelling.
In 2013, Arok India released their debut album “Kobor”, marking an important milestone in the Bengali independent music scene.
The album was nominated for Best Bengali Band Album at the Mirchi Music Awards alongside acclaimed releases including Fossils 4 by Fossils and Blah Blah Blah by Cactus.
In 2026, after a long creative hiatus, the band made a powerful comeback with the recrafted version of their single “Chayapoth”, originally featured on Kobor.
In December 2025 the band secured 3rd Place at Bengal Business Council Presents Talent Showcase by Talentwala.
